An Example Overnight Charter Itinerary
Day 1
10.30 Arrive at the motor yacht.
Enjoy a drink or a light snack as you find your way around. Your safety briefing will take place and you will be given a tour around your home for the next few days. Induction on how to use the various boat systems.
12.00 Head off for your first port of call – Cowes, Isle of Wight
12.40 Arrive Cowes. Walk ashore at will to explore Cowes town. Walk along the sea front or through the small town. Lunch at your leisure in one of several well known pubs. Either remain in Cowes for the rest of the day or head up river to moor by the Folly Inn where you can take dinner. If remaining in Cowes dinner to be taken ashore in restaurant, skipper recommendation available. After dinner return to boat for coffee and drinks before turning in for the night.
Day 2
Breakfast at leisure on board. A quick walk around Cowes.
11.30 Depart for second port of call The River Hamble.
12.30 Arrive in the Hamble, moor up and walk ashore to explore Hamble village. Peruse local shops, walk along the Hamble, take the small passenger ferry over to Warsash. Lunch in local pub. Return to boat and either remain on current mooring or move further up river to Bursleden for overnight berth and dinner in the Jolly Sailor featured in Howards way. Return to motor yacht for coffee and settle down to a film with popcorn before retiring for the night.
Day 3
Breakfast at leisure on board.
11.00 Depart for Beaulieu / Bucklers Hard.
12.00 arrive Bucklers Hard and explore the area. Lunch at the Master Builders.
(As alternative to this schedule It would be possible to remain in Bucklers Hard for the evening spending the afternoon visiting the National Motor Museum / Beaulieu House and gardens, having lunch there and returning to the boat for Dinner at the Master Builders)
3.00 depart Bucklers hard for Lymington.
4.30 Arrive Lymington. Walk ashore and explore Lymington.
Dinner at restaurant as recommended / booked for you by skipper. Return to boat for coffee and drinks before retiring for the night.
Day 4
Breakfast at leisure on board. Walk around Lymington at leisure. Possibly a bite to eat in Lymington before returning to boat.
2.00pm Depart for next port Yarmouth, Isle of Wight.
2.30pm Arrive Yarmouth. Walk ashore to explore area. Take tender up river to explore the river Yar.
Late afternoon relaxing onboard before dinner in yarmouth, skipper’s recommendation and booking.
Day 5
Breakfast at leisure on board.
11.30 Depart Yarmouth for Portsmouth
12.30 Arrive Portsmouth Gunwharf Quays. Walk ashore for designer shopping, restaurants, Spinnaker tower. Lunch.
3 minute walk to Historic dockyard. Mary Rose exhibition, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior etc.
Return to Gunwharf Quays and the boat.
5.00 Depart Gunwharf Quays for Gosport
5.10 Arrive Gosport. Drinks and snacks on board before disembarking motor yacht for return home.
Total cost £2,000 plus 4 additional days at £1,800 = £9,200 inc Vat.
Price is for the boat and all passengers. Not per person.
